Shift Happens

This recent version of "Did You Know" is an amazingly powerful presentation. It fully illustrates our need to have an education system that is prepared for the coming changes. It can easily be argued that our education system has been outdated for some time. It continuously becoming more apparent to me that we are in dire need for an evolving education that conform to the times without abandoning true, timeless principles of learning.

Total Recall Learning

My wife introduced me to Total Recall Learning after meeting with the professor who developed this incredible program. Total recall learning is an easy to use computer program based on widely accepted learning principles. very much like a flashcard system on steroids, it systematically sorts information you know from the stuff you don't, then focuses study time on the forgotten material. I recommend everyone check out this website. Go Straight to the Free Downloads section and start using one of his programs. Even if there is nothing in the free section that you are interested in. Once you begin using the program it will become incredibly apparent how powerful this simple program can be. He even offers a free program that you can use to make your own lessons.

Spreeder

Since I refered to speed reading for an example in my last post I thought I would share this link to a great online speed reading application.
The program is design to train your eyes to sight read. All you do is copy and paste the desired reading material into the application. You can change the the speed and the word count per flash. It also allows you to track your progress so you can see your improvement.
Just click the title of this post to enjoy.
